Tour Type: This tour not only shows you the two of China's most popular destinations: Beijing and Yangtze Cruise, but also the exciting cities of Chongqing, and allows visitors to discover some of the most stunning natural and ancient treasures in China. On your visit to Xi'an, you will visit the awesome Terracotta Warriors and on your cruise down the Yangtze River, you will discover how amazing Mother Nature can be.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day1 Destinations: Beijing
 

Descriptions:   After your arrival in Beijing, you will be greeted by your Beijing local guide, who will then take you to your hotel. Your local guide will suggest a restaurant option and shopping destination for the rest of the day.
Meals:  No meals

Day2 Destinations: Beijing
 

Descriptions:   After breakfast, your local guide will pick you up at the hotel and accompany you to Tian'anmen Square, which is the heart of modern China, the symbol of the People's Republic, and the center of Beijing's landmarks.
Next proceed to the Forbidden City, the architectural wonder and world-famous attraction that lies in the center of Beijing, north of Tian'anmen Square. It was home to 24 emperors in the Ming and Qing Dynasties during its five centuries of use.
After a Chinese lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to the Temple of Heaven. Built between 1409 and 1420, the Temple of Heaven is one of Beijing's most impressive parks in terms of architecture and significance.
Return to the hotel, your local guide will suggest a restaurant option and shopping destination for the rest of the day.
Meals:  Western breakfast, Chinese lunch

Day3 Destinations: Beijing
 

Descriptions:   After breakfast, your local guide will pick you up at the hotel and accompany you to the Mutianyu Great Wall, the main section of the Great Wall that was reconstructed during the Ming Dynasty. In ancient times, it was used as a strategic point of defense. Cable car fee is not included.
After a Chinese lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to the Ming Tombs, the mausoleums of 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644).
Enjoy a Beijing Roast Duck Dinner, which is considered to be one of the most delicious dishes in the world. A trip to Beijing would not be complete without trying it once!

Day4 Destinations: Beijing-Xi'an
 

Descriptions:   After breakfast, your local guide will pick you up at the hotel and accompany you to see the Beijing Hutongs, a "must-see" attraction if you want to really get a feel for the rich history and culture of the city. Seeing the Beijing Hutongs today will show you the lifestyle and culture of historic Beijing.
After a Chinese lunch at a local restaurant, your local guide will accompany you to the famous shopping area, Wangfujing Street, where you will have free time until your local guide takes you to Beijing airport for your departure flight to Xi'an.
After your arrival in Xi'an, you will be greeted by your Xi'an local guide, who will then take you to your hotel. Your local guide will suggest a restaurant option and shopping destination for the rest of the day.

Day5 Destinations: Xi'an
 

Descriptions:  

After breakfast, your local guide will pick you at the hotel and accompany you to the Terracotta Warriors & Horses, located in Jiangzhai Xichang Village, about one mile from Emperor Qin Shi Huang's Mausoleum. There are about 8,000 of these warriors and horses covering a massive area of 20,000 sq meters.
After a Chinese lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to Huaqing Hot Spring, situated 30 kilometers east of Xi'an at the foot of the Lishan Hills. The springs were a popular retreat with Emperors more than 2,500 years ago, many of whom enjoyed bathing in the crystal clear mineral water.
Next proceed to Banpo Museum, located on the north side of Banpo Village on a site that dates to the Neolithic period, over 6,000 years ago.
Then your guide will accompany you to enjoy a Chinese Dumpling Dinner.

Day6 Destinations: Xi'an
 

Descriptions:   After breakfast, your local guide will pick you up at the hotel and accompany you to the Forest of Steles, which is a professional art museum that collects, studies, and displays various steles and stone sculptures.
Next proceed to Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a famous Buddhist pagoda situated inside Da Ci'en Temple, four kilometers south of Xi'an. Emperor Gaozong (628-683) commissioned the building of this temple in 652 during the Tang Dynasty.
After a Chinese lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to the Medieval City Wall, which is the most complete ancient city wall in China. It was built in the Ming Dynasty over 700 years ago.
Today's activities end.

Day7 Destinations: Xi'an-Chongqing
 

Descriptions:   After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Chongqing, and visit the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo.
Your memorable Yangtze River tour will begin as you board the luxurious cruise ship.
Meals:  Western breakfast, Chinese lunch

Day8 Destinations: Yangtze River
 

Descriptions:   Today we visit the Ghost City of Fengdu, called Bazibiedu in ancient times. The whole place has an eerie feel to it with deserted streets, tower blocks, empty shops and banks.Wreathed with luxuriant trees and interspersed by a few temples and pavilions, the whole scenic area is more like a landscape painting rather than the "Ghost City".
Meals:  Western breakfast, Chinese lunch, and dinner

Day9 Destinations: Yangtze River (Badong - Xiling Gorge – Sandouping)
 

Descriptions:   The essential part of Yangtze River cruise is coming today, and you will appreciate the unique scenery of the Three Gorges. Qutang Gorge, the shortest but the grandest one. Wu Gorge is famous for its lofty peaks and mountains on the both sides. Xiling Gorge is the longest one among the three. An interesting junk adventure to Shennong Stream will add much joy to the marvelous day.

Day10 Destinations: Yichang-Shanghai
 

Descriptions:   The final Yangtze onshore excursion will be arranged to visit the under constructed Three Gorges Dam, then we will transfer to your next station Shanghai. Upon your arrival at Shanghai, your guide will meet you and take you to your hotel.
Meals:  Western breakfast, Chinese lunch

Day11 Destinations: Shanghai
 

Descriptions:   After breakfas tour the Bund, and views of the futuristic skyline, then visit the YuYuan Garden, former residence of imperial officials, featuring tranquil classical gardens.
After lunch, transfer to airport for your departure flight.
