Dunhuang is a county-level city subjected to Jiuquan city of Gansu Province, as the national historical and cultural city, it's an important pass on historical Silk Road.
Dunhuang is renowned in the world by its Dunhuang Grottoes and Mural, also the location of world’s heritage Mogao Grottoes and ancient Great Wall of Han Dynasty. The county is surrounded by desert and scattered the oasis. The most important tourist spots are Mogao Grottoes, Yumen Pass, Crescent Moon Spring and Echoing Sand Dune.
