Chengdu is the capital city of the Sichuan Province. The city lies in the southwestern region of the Mainland China. It is located in the Chengdu Plain. In the Chinese language the place is called Tianfu zhi guo, meaning "the Heavenly Country". Chengdu is the center of technology, trade and finance, the hub of transportations and communications in Southwest China.
