  • Do you heard about the bright pearl of northwestern Hunan Province? It is the Zhangjiajie renowned in the past. However, development in this area has lagged behind for its poor communication. At present, with the support of the central government, Zhangjiajie has undergone great improvements through the construction of new infrastructure including highways, railways and an airport.


    • 1. By Air


    The Lotus Airport of Zhangjiajie is located in the lotus village in the Yongding District 5 kilometers from downtown Zhangjiajie. The bus No.4 goes from downtown to the airport.

    At present, Zhangjiajie Lotus Airport has opened several airlines to the large and medium cities in China, such as Changsha, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Nanjing, and Beijing. Visitors should check the local number for flights before purchasing tickets.


    • 2. By Train

    Zhangjiajie railway station is 5 kilometers from the city, just opposite the bus station No.1, No.6 and it will take you about 20 minutes to travel downtown with a fare of CNY1 per adult.
    The railway network of Zhangjiajie has been connected with several large and medium cities in the country.


    • 3. By Coaches

    Zhangjiajie Long-distance Station provides long-distance buses to the near scenic spots and suburbs. Many buses arrive at this station.

    Every 5 minutes there will be a bus going from city to Wulingyuan, which is about one hour away, costing CNY5 per adult; every 15 minutes there will be a bus going to River Menglon; there is a special bus going to River Maoyan every morning from Xianglong International Hotel.


    • 4. City Transportation

    There are 10 bus lines in Zhangjiajie now. The average fare for the bus is either CNY0.5 or CNY1 per trip. These bus lines cover most parts of the city. You can also hail a taxi, with the starting price of CNY3. If you go to the railway station or the Lotus Airport by taxi, CNY15 is enough.
